It is the oldest recorded sacred moment on earth. The crowd of Hindu monks and their Royal procession the Shahi or Syahi forms the main attraction at Kumbh, w2here naked ascetics, the Nagas, recognized for their quick anger and aggressive nature, move out of their Akhara enclosures. The different Akharas, Sadhus and Sany asis particularly the Nagas, appear to have gained much importance after an incidence at Kumbh Prayag in 1954.
